Bites from the Dietician

The life of a college student is often stressful and rushed, making staying healthy a challenge. Eating well is often the last thing on a student's mind with everything going on. Stress, lack of sleep, and questionable food and drink choices create the risk of becoming depleted in essential nutrients.

This month's newsletter focuses on signs and symptoms of common nutrient deficiencies. It will help you learn what to look for and what foods will help you avoid potential problems.

If you would like personalized information related to nutrition and health, you can contact University Dietitian Terry Passano, RDN, at thpassano@salisbury.edu or request an appointment here. Complimentary sessions are offered to students, faculty, and staff.
