What's New

Commons – Welcome first-year, transfer and returning students, faculty and staff! We are happy to continue serving all your classic favorites that you’ve come to love over the last semester. Be sure to be on the lookout for some unique renovations to our dining hall this semester, including a charging bar for all your electronic needs. New tables for Dorchester, Somerset and Talbot rooms are coming soon. Look for self-serve kiosks to create-your-own omelets, sandwiches and stir frys.

 

Shore Café – New additions include roller grill hot food options (sausages, hot dogs and taquitos) and a new line of hot breakfast sandwiches, available 7:30-10 a.m.

 

Perdue Pizza Café: New & Open! – Check out the new line of breakfast sandwiches use remote ordering and payment with the SU Grub Hub app.

 

Chick-Fil-A: Ice cream cones are back as well as a couple new items:

 

Chick-fil-A Sunjoy

The New Chick-fil-A Sunjoy is a refreshing combination of classic Chick-fil-A® lemonade and freshly brewed sweetened iced tea (also available with combinations of Chick-fil-A® diet lemonade or unsweetened iced tea).

Featuring Eastern Shore Recipes: Crab Cakes

 
 

Ingredients                                                         

  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3/4 teaspoon seafood seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1-pound fresh lump crabmeat
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the egg, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, seafood seasoning, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Fold in crab. Shape into six patties.
  2. In a large skillet, cook crab cakes in oil for 4-5 minutes on each side or until browned.

Nutrition Facts

2 crab cakes: 599 calories, 44g fat (6g saturated fat), 235mg cholesterol, 952mg sodium, 13g carbohydrate (1g sugars, 1g fiber), 35g protein.

Affordable and Simple Solutions – Each menu item has an Affordable price and a Simple price. The Affordable price is the lowest cost option of picking items up from Commons. The Simple price is a no-frills style of delivery.


Semester Starters – Designed for working lunches or small gatherings. These three packages are a great way to jump start the semester with a simple and filling meal. Order now for this menu – only offered for a limited time.
