This Week is Thank a Teacher Week!

SU Thanks You! In honor of Thank a Teacher Week, SU invites you to "Thank a Teacher." At SU we recognize and celebrate our exceptional faculty at all levels for their tireless commitment to teaching, research, service, mentorship, innovation, and transformative impact on students, the University, and society.

Each May, the University System of Maryland Council for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning joins the Kirwan Center for Academic Innovation in planning faculty and instructor recognition activities as part of Thank a Teacher Week. This event coincides with the National Teacher Appreciation Week, which is this week!

Students are invited to share their gratitude by writing a note on a physical postcard or by sending a note virtually. Students are asked to look for tables in the Guerrieri Academic Commons and the Guerrieri Student Union outside of Chick-fil-A where they can sign postcards. Last year, colleagues took advantage of this opportunity as well to share gratitude to colleagues.

Students have received communication via email and a MyClasses announcement regarding this event. More information is available at: www.salisbury.edu/thanks.

Call for QM Internal Course Reviewers

Quality Matters (QM) logo

Instructional Design and Delivery is currently looking for SU faculty and staff who have completed the Applying the QM Rubric (APPQMR) rubric workshop to volunteer for QM internal course reviews. During an internal review, a three member team emulates an official QM peer review to provide feedback to the faculty member who submitted the course for review.

ID&D is expecting 8-10 QM internal reviews to occur during the next review period of June 1 - July 31. This is a voluntary process and we need your help! Check out the Quality Matters at SU site for more information.
