Teaching Remotely Preparations

Prepare early in the event of a campus closure. Ask the following questions:

  1. How will I communicate with my students? Share that plan with the class.
  2. What are the most essential learning outcomes? Pick two and focus on the content and activities that will lead your students to achieve those outcomes.
  3. What tools will I use for course continuity? ID&D highly recommends that faculty:
    1. Setup your SU Zoom account.
    2. Enable Panopto in MyClasses and install Panopto to create video content and narrate lectures.
    3. Setup your MyClasses course.

Review the Campus Emergency Event - Course Continuity article for additional information, communication strategies and step-by-step instructions on various instructional software.
