Inclusive Access Program

Inclusive Access (IA) is a program that connects students with discounted eBooks, publisher content and other open education resources through an integration with MyClasses. It is a partnership between the SU Bookstore, textbook publishers, RedShelf our partner that enables the connection through a Canvas integration tool, and Instructional Design and Delivery.

Students enrolled in classes participating in the Inclusive Access program have access to the required course materials on the first day of classes at the most affordable price.

There are two types of course materials that can be accessed via Inclusive Access:

  1. Courseware: Provides access to publisher content/activities related to the book title selected for the course as well as access to an electronic copy of the book.
  2. eBook: Provides access to the electronic copy of the assigned book through the RedShelf eBook reader. Depending on the publisher, eBook reader might only be available from the publisher website.

Instructors participating in the Inclusive Access program will need to set up their courses with the tools and instruction pages for students to be able to access the course materials. Tools and instructions vary depending on the type of book adoption, eBook or courseware.

For more information about the program, detailed step-by-step instructional guides for adding the necessary tools and instructions for students on how to access the course materials, please visit the Inclusive Access & Publisher Integration Setup Knowledge Base.
