Faculty Travel Grants

The Faculty Development Committee is calling for applications for Travel Grants in support of faculty travel to be completed between June 1-December 31, 2023. The maximum amount of each grant is $400.

Fall 2023 Courses Created in MyClasses

Fall courses have been created in MyClasses. Students will be enrolled into fall courses starting on August 1. Updates to courses and instructor enrollments will be updated once per day at 6 p.m.

 

If you have multiple sections that need to be combined, please use our MyClasses Combine Sections request located under the MyClasses requests section of the ID&D Support Center. Faculty participating in the Inclusive Access textbook program should request sections be combined at least four weeks prior to the start of the semester.

 

Information on how to import course content from a previous semester is available in the ID&D Importing Or Copying Content from Another Canvas Course article. (SU Login Required).

Changes to Integrations in MyClasses

On May 31, publisher and other integrations in MyClasses were updated as follows:

Removed

  • McGraw-Hill Connect
  • WileyPlus (New)/NEW WileyPlus
  • Perusall 1.1
  • Flip (Flipgrid)
  • Hypothesis
  • MyBusinessCourse
 

Replaced with

  • McGraw-Hill Connect LTIA
  • Wiley LTI 1.3
  • Perusall 1.3
 

Perusall can be used as a replacement for Hypothesis. No replacements for Flip or MyBusinessCourse.

Faculty Development Calendar

Are you new to SU or have you not had the opportunity to utilize the Faculty Development Calendar yet? If not, you may be wondering: "What is the faculty Development Calendar?" or "How is it useful?"

 

The Faculty Development Calendar provides information and registration opportunities for workshops, events, colloquiums, presentations, networking and other forms of professional development opportunities available to faculty. These opportunities include SU-hosted opportunities, as well as those provided by outside organizations.
