Staying Connected in a Time of Crisis

Greetings from the Department of Psychology! We hope that this newsletter finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy. All around the globe and across the country, universities have been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic, and Salisbury University and our department is no exception.

Debra Truitt Retiring in June

Debra Truitt, program management specialist for the department, is retiring in June after 20 years of service at Salisbury University, including 18 years in the Psychology Department.

Dr. Suzanne Osman’s Research in Sexual Aggression

Dr. Suzanne Osman is a professor in the Department of Psychology who has been conducting her primary research program in understanding sexual aggression for almost 22 years at Salisbury University.

Students Attend Winter Roundtable Conference

In February 2020, Dr. Yuki Okubo and Dr. Michèle Schlehofer took a cohort of seven students, and one alumnus, to New York City to attend the 37th Annual Winter Roundtable Conference at Teachers College, on the beautiful campus of Columbia University.

Alumni Spotlight: Dr. Charlotte Phillips, 2011

In 2019, I completed my Ph.D. and relocated from Philadelphia back to the Eastern Shore of Maryland. I am currently the program director at the Seton Center in Princess Anne where I have the privilege of working with a great team in providing social services to the deserving people of Somerset and Wicomico counties.
