Entrepreneur, Philanthropist Dave Rommel Receives SU Honorary Doctorate

Growing up in Salisbury, Dave Rommel attended elementary school at what was then Salisbury State College. Nearly six decades later, he joined graduates from that institution — now Salisbury University — during its 2024 Spring Commencement for another educational experience, receiving an honorary Doctor of Public Service from SU President Carolyn Ringer Lepre.

SU's Weber Earns ACFE Fraud Examiner of the Year Award

Dr. David P. Weber, CFE, professor of practice and lead faculty for the Fraud and Forensic Accounting Program, received the Certified Fraud Examiner of the Year Award from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). 

SU's Whitcomb Among U.S. Delegates at Oxford University Symposium on Employee Ownership

Dr. Valerie Whitcomb, academic instruction program designer and two-time Employee Ownership Foundation and Rutgers University Louis O. Kelso Fellow, represented SU in England as a U.S. delegate at the Oxford University Symposium on Employee Ownership.

The Perdue School recently held its inaugural Finance Career Day. This year’s theme of “Invest in Yourself” centered on internships and careers in wealth advising, financial planning, business valuation, consulting and risk management.
