    Bites from the Dietician

    March is National Nutrition Month®

National Nutrition Month® is an annual event sponsored by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to bring attention to the importance of making informed choices surrounding health.

The Salisbury University theme for 2024 is "Embrace Nutrition"

What we eat is just one aspect of our lives that influences our health. We can eat well but if we don't sleep enough or drink sufficient water, we will forever be dragging. Without connections to other people, our mental health is affected. If we don't balance enjoyment and obligations we can become over-stressed.

In this month's Zest two students share their journeys of self-discovery while they faced the challenges of moving into young adulthood. They are both seniors at SU and are happy to share their journey of increasing awareness over the past four years.

If you would like personalized information related to nutrition and health, contact University Dietitian Terry Passano, RDN at thpassano@salisbury.edu or request an appointment here. Complimentary sessions are offered to students, faculty and staff.
