Scott Garrison

Salisbury University's 2025 Employee of the Year!

Scott exemplifies dedication and excellence in his role as Facilities Reservations Manager in Conference Services with an unwavering commitment to provide excellent service to both Faculty and Staff each and every day!  Want to hear about his level of service? Here are just a few comments made about Scott that make him our 2025 Employee of the Year...

"He's one of the most dependable and detail-oriented people I've ever met in my professional life and he's equally passionate and considerate of the people he works with. Working with Scott makes everyone's life and job easier!"

- Robert Chin, Office of Diversity and Inclusion

"While one thinks of facilities reservations as just "rooms" it's so much more than that; Scott has offered guidance on things such as AV/tech support, billing, and in-depth guidance on more detailed events. He will go above and beyond to alert me to anything I may have missed, and to ensure that everything goes off without a hitch!"

 - Angela Lookabill, Office of Academic Affairs

"Oftentimes he will remember significant details about a customer’s event that they may not have even noticed or realized. His ability to remember so many different details and provide so much care and attention to his tremendous workload is to be commended.  Scott is the epitome of what qualifies as an Employee of the Month!"

- Lesley Staffeldt, Director of Conference Services & Facilities Reservations

Teamwork Makes The Dream Work!

SU recently held an engaging two-day event in partnership with MD Connect, our dedicated provider of Workday support for six campuses within the University System of Maryland. The purpose of this conference was to strengthen the relationship between SU and the MD Connect support teams while addressing pain points and new features of Workday. Participants took part in insightful discussions that celebrated some of our achievements while identifying opportunities for further enhancements. By sharing their experiences and perspectives, the teams worked collaboratively to improve Workday's functionality, ensuring it effectively addresses the diverse needs of our campus and lays the groundwork for future innovations. This event provided a valuable opportunity for connection, learning, and growth among all involved.

PMP UPDATE

We're in the home stretch!

With a targeted completion date set for June 30, we are right on track.

GREAT JOB, EVERYONE!!!!

The Team in HR held the final training session last Wednesday

and now we're counting on you to bring us home!

Approximately 110 employees have yet to start their review process, and we strongly encourage management to log into Workday and check the status of their teams. By staying informed, managers can better support their team members in completing their reviews.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

As of June 20, any employee who has not completed their portion of the review, will be reassigned to their direct supervisors, allowing them the opportunity to provide valuable feedback to their team members. This approach will help ensure that everyone receives the guidance and support they need to succeed in their performance evaluations.
