Session S11a recording of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL): A COIL Partnership with Salisbury University and ULACIT

Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) connects students and professors in different countries for simultaneous collaborative projects and discussions as part of their coursework. COIL enhances intercultural student-team-focused interaction through proven approaches to meaningful online and virtual engagement while providing universities with a cost-effective way to ensure that their students are globally engaged. Watch Dr. Brittany Foutz’s TLC session where she discusses her Fall 2023 COIL Partnership between SU and the Latin American University of Science and Technology (ULACIT) in San Jose, Costa Rica. Students in CADR 200 worked with ULACIT students in an International Mediation course on conducting simultaneous international mediations and collaborative problem-solving.

Moving to New Quizzes: Summer 2024/Fall 2024

Video explaining New Quizzes transition by Summer/Fall 2024

We are making the move to New Quizzes beginning Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 sessions. New Quizzes is the newest online assessment feature in MyClasses. To prepare faculty and staff for this transition, ID&D is providing the following resources:

Creation of Fall 2024 Courses in MyClasses

Fall courses will be created in MyClasses on April 1, and instructors will be enrolled at the same time. Daily reports will be run to update course, section and instructor enrollments.

If you have multiple sections that need to be combined, please use our MyClasses Combine Sections request located under the MyClasses requests section of the ID&D Support Center. Faculty participating in the Inclusive Access textbook program should request sections be combined at least four weeks prior to the start of the semester.

Have you created Open Educational Resources (OER) or adopted/adapted existing OER you find useful? We want to know about it; share your course materials on the Salisbury Hub of the  M.O.S.T. Commons!

There are two ways to share OER on the M.O.S.T. Commons, you can register for an account and click on the option to Add OER to upload OER directly to the commons or you can email either Katie Delezenski (SU Libraries) or Karen Silverstrim (ID&D) for uploading.

While on the M.O.S.T. Commons consider visiting the Salisbury Hub, a custom resource center where SU faculty can create, organize, and share collections.
