Campuswide Survey on the Use of Generative AI in Education

A side portrait of a person made of digital code

The FLC on Exploring GenAI in the Classroom is excited to announce the launch of a campus-wide survey focused on the use of Generative AI (GenAI)here at SU! We invite students, staff, and faculty to share their perspectives on how GenAI is currently being used, their attitudes toward it, and their thoughts on its future role in education. Your feedback is crucial in shaping how we approach and integrate these emerging technologies on our campus, and can inform other partners in USM about the potential and challenges of this new tool. Participation is voluntary and anonymous, however, you can register to be eligible for a $50 incentive after completing the survey. Don’t miss your chance to contribute to this important conversation!

The survey is open from October 7- November 4, 2024

Midsemester Grading Due on October 20

Why is it important to provide mid-semester grading? Grades are the number one feature that students use in MyClasses and serve as the primary feedback regarding their progression in a course. In addition, mid-semester grade reporting for all students, but especially those who are performing at a D level or below, directly affects:

  • Advisement during Program Planning
  • Outreach by the Academic Advising Center and Center for Student Achievement
  • Retention and degree completion
  • Determination before last day for regular session withdrawals on Friday, November 1, 2024
