Practicing Self-Care to Avoid Burnout

Mug with steam rising from it

Brew a hot mug of tea (or perhaps coffee if tea isn't your thing) and unwind with this Tea for Teaching podcast episode about Burnout where Dr. Rebecca Pope-Ruark talks about the realities of burnout and the need for self-care.

The Tea for Teaching podcast is a series of informal discussions of innovative and effective practices in teaching and learning. This podcast series is hosted by John Kane (an economist) and Rebecca Mushtare (a graphic designer). John and Rebecca run the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching at the State University of New York at Oswego.

Faculty Learning Community - Last Call for Proposals

Faculty Learning Community (FLC) proposals are now being accepted for the upcoming 2021-2022 academic year. Your proposal can be for a cohort-based or topic-basic FLC. The proposal should be developed by the prospective FLC facilitator(s) with a budget not to exceed $2,500 (final awards may be modified in light of prevailing budgetary considerations). A newly designed online FLC proposal form and an FLC scoring rubric are both available at the Faculty Learning Communities website.

The due date for proposals is this Friday, April 30! For more information on FLCs and the application process, please visit the Faculty Learning Communities website.
