In celebration of Salisbury University's Centennial, we are thrilled to introduce our updated newsletter. We hope to inspire a new era of engagement at SU, share updates, stories, and events that connect you with the vibrant SU alumni community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Centennial Homecoming this month! It was wonderful to see so much fun and excitement at all the events. The energy was incredible with over 7,000 attendees flooding the streets for the legendary Flock Party!

Centennial Alumni Spotlight

Juliana Herscher '99

How did Salisbury prepare you to lead in the classroom—and beyond?
Salisbury University truly is far above the rest in the education field. The professors were experts in their subject areas and genuinely invested in their students. I especially loved working with local schools through internships and volunteer opportunities. The community was committed to helping build the teaching profession. The knowledge I gained from SU’s professors helped set me apart in my career and gave me the confidence to thrive. I’m now a National Board Certified Teacher in Early and Middle Childhood Literacy: Reading-Language Arts, and I support other educators in pursuing certification through Charles County’s National Board Academy. I’ve taught for 26 years, and I truly credit Salisbury with laying the foundation for all I’ve accomplished.

SU Alumni Events

'Bury Brew Launch Party

Who/What: Anyone who wants to celebrate Salisbury University's Centennial and the launch of 'Bury Brew beer!

When: Thursday, November 6 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

Where: EVO Public House Outdoor Area (the fire pits will be on!)

Cost: $25 Includes appetizers provided by EVO, a tasting size of the 'Bury Brew and a limited edition 'Bury Brew t-shirt. (T-shirts must be picked up at the event. They will NOT be mailed.)

Raise a glass to Salisbury’s centennial! Connect with fellow alumni and family during this annual gathering featuring a tasting, tour, and charcuterie to share.

Honoring the 1991 Men's Lacrosse Team

Join us for a special reunion honoring the 1991 men's lacrosse team, the first lacrosse team in Salisbury University history to reach the NCAA finals!

After the final whistle, the celebration will continue at Adam's Taphouse. Food and drinks will be on your own at the post-game gathering.

Men's Lacrosse Golf Tournament

The Men's Lacrosse team invites you back to Salisbury for a jam-packed day of memories and fun! Join us for a round of golf followed by War on the Shore!

Date: Friday, April 24, 2026

Location: Green Hill Country Club (5471 Whitehaven Road, Quantico, MD 21856)

Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m.
Shotgun start at 11:30 a.m.
Men's Lacrosse team takes on Washington College at 7 p.m.

Alumni Homecoming and Family Weekend Photo Celebrates SU's Centennial

In honor of the Centennial, members of the SU campus community gathered on the Holloway Hall lawn to form a giant “100,” commemorating the University’s opening 100 years ago on September 7, 1925.
