The General Education Oversight Committee recently announced that an existing course has been the first to be approved in the General Education 2024 curriculum! The course is in the signature area of Diversity & Inclusion. Additionally, General Education 2024 has a new dashboard tracking the number of courses (new and existing) currently submitted or approved - so check it out!

Proposals for current courses are encouraged to be submitted through Curriculog. Use the preview option (indicated in the red square below) to create a PDF version of the application for planning purposes.

Curriculog proposals tab with Fall 2024 Gen Ed areas such as Hands-On Science and Human Expression listed and the preview option enhanced with a red box.

General Education: Course Mapping Workshop

Date: November 4, 2022

Time: 10-11 a.m.
Location: Faculty Development Studio, Academic Commons 221

Let us help you map your course objectives to meet General Education student learning outcomes through a course mapping process in this interactive hands-on workshop. Please bring your course syllabus and learning description/objectives for an existing course you wish to modify to meet Gen Ed requirements. The process of course mapping allows you to plan your course using a course matrix for learning objectives, content, activities and assessments. We will help you prepare your new or existing course so you can create a proposal to send to the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee as the first step toward approval as a General Education 2024 course.
