On September 16, ID&D's Haley Cristea attended an award ceremony at the University of Maryland College Park to receive the University System of Maryland’s (USM’s) highest honors: the Board of Regents’ (BOR) Staff Award for Excellence for “Effectiveness and Efficiency” during the USM BOR's first meeting of the 2022-23 academic year. From her nomination for the award, her nominators noted: “In three separate instances, completely outside the scope of her position, Haley selflessly mitigated, problem solved and saved thousands of dollars as she worked with faculty and staff to seamlessly and effectively transition their face-to-face planned programming to virtual or hybrid iterations that would be COVID-19-proof.” – Dr. Sarah E.J. Winger, Assessment Coordinator, University Analysis, Reporting and Assessment Office. “Haley is an extremely valuable, unfaltering employee who labors quietly and relentlessly behind the scenes to support various initiatives on campus, resulting in cost savings for those units.” – Melissa Thomas, Manager, Instructional Design and Delivery Congratulations also to Donna Carey, executive administrative assistant in the Charles R. and Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts Dean’s Office, for receiving the USM BOR award for “Exceptional Contribution to the Institution” at the same ceremony. |
