Today’s SULead session was a fantastic opportunity for the cohort to explore the inner workings of Salisbury University (SU). The day began with an extensive tour of the Academic Commons and Naab Center, led by Dean Joan Ruelle, who provided valuable insights into the facilities and resources available for students. Following this, the group took a road trip downtown to the Museum of Eastern Shore Culture at Salisbury University, guided by Alexandra Kan, the Museum Operations Coordinator. This visit offered a chance to explore the museum's exhibits, showcasing regional culture and history while engaging in discussions about its role in community engagement and education.
Upon returning to campus, the cohort was joined by Aurora Edenhart-Pepe and a few of her senior leadership team members, Lynn Adkins, Chief Ed Lashley, and George Oakley, who provided a view into the Administration and Finance Division. Their insightful presentations shed light on the administrative functions, dining, university police, and financial operations at SU.
Overall, it was a great day looking under the hood at SU, with experiences that will undoubtedly enhance our ongoing learning and leadership development. |
