Mid-Semester Grading Due Sunday, March 22

Why is it important to provide mid-semester grading? Grades are the number one feature that students use in MyClasses and serve as the primary feedback regarding their progression in a course. In addition, mid-semester grade reporting for all students, but especially those who are performing at a D level or below, directly affects:

  • Advisement during Program Planning
  • Outreach by the Academic Advising Center and Center for Student Achievement
  • Retention and degree completion
  • Determination before last day for regular session withdrawals on Friday, April 3, 2026

Important Dates for Spring 7 Week 2 Session

As we prepare for the spring 7 week  2 session, ID&D shares some important dates to consider for spring sessions:

  • March 16: Student Access to MyClasses courses (if published by instructor)
  • March 23: Start of session
  • March 23-24: Drop/Add Dates
  • March 25: Inclusive Access opt-out date for students

ID&D Poster Printer - Out of Service

ID&D's poster printer is temporarily out of service. The following options are available:

  • Faculty and staff can continue to submit poster requests to ID&D and we will collaborate with Media Services in Conway Hall to have your poster printed.

  • Submit request directly to Media Services using the instructions in the Student and faculty poster printing hours and information article. Please submit requests two workdays prior to needing the poster.

  • Submit poster printing requests to the Print & Digital Imaging Services (formerly the Copy Center). Please note the following:
    • The Print & Digital Imaging Services will need two-day turnaround for poster printing production.
    • Any posters printed through the Print & Digital Imaging Services must include the SU logo and the title IX statement.
    • Costs will apply and will be billed to the requester's department using the appropriate Usource code. For example, a poster size of 36x48 is $60.

Rejuvenate Yourself: Curate Music to Cultivate Joy

A black woman sings joyfully into a microphone with one hand up to stress emotionh

Spring break is the perfect time to focus on your self-care. While there are many ways you can engage in self-care - practicing mindfulness, keeping a gratitude journal, disconnecting from social media, enjoying nature, exercising, and engaging in hobbies (e.g., gardening, painting, reorganizing/redecorating, hiking...the list goes on!) - consider adding a joyful soundtrack to your day! Need an extra boost? Sing along!

Music has a transformative power to influence "cognitive, emotional, physical, and social well-being" (Zaatar et al., 2023). As you embark on tasks, hobbies, and social gatherings, add an uplifting playlist to your daily routine. Below are some examples of Spotify and YouTube playlists.

If these don't spark your joy, make your own! Feel free to share your playlists with ID&D using the hashtag #SU_IDD, or share with your family, friends, and peers to spread the joy!
